Individual tablecloth a mercerized cotton handwoven.

These individual placemats are inspired by the aerial landscape of the olive grove of Jaén, the austerity of the olive grove and its peculiar framework and characteristic lined, squared and round landscape extolling the organic olive grove of the province of Jaén.

They are elegant and combinable. The cotton fiber brings a natural touch to your table. They are very resistant, textured and can be machine washed.

It is a very versatile piece that adapts to many styles of decoration, creating a very special point of attention.

We have woven these tablecloths by hand on our artisan looms, in a variant of the complex “honeycomb” technique that gives it symmetry, depth and plays with the contrasts of light in the two dimensions, above and below. They are woven with two shuttles with cotton fibers of different thicknesses, to give volume and texturize the fabric, being its soft touch and pleasant.

The ends are overlocked so that the fabric does not unravel and they have a reinforced machine seam to support machine washes without any problem. It is already washed and ironed.

NATURAL FIBERS.

Cotton.

 Cotton is one of the first fibers used to make textiles due to its exceptional qualities, it is soft, flexible, durable, absorbent, breathable and totally versatile: cool or warm. It is one of the few fibers that, depending on the thickness of its yarn, can be used both in summer, fine and cool, and in winter, thick and warm.

DETAILS.

Fibers: 100% cotton.

Measures: 40cm x 52cm

Warp / weft color: White and cream base, hand-woven with different colors.

Warmth: Low.

Finishes: Overlocked on edges, folded and machine sewn to hem. Washed and ironed. All to give it more quality and durability.

MAINTENANCE TIPS.

Washing: hand wash, with neutral detergent and cold water.

Laying: roll a towel around the clothesline holding it with two clips and hang the piece vertically so that it does not leave a mark and, if necessary, facilitates ironing.

Ironing: it does not take special care, in general the temperature indicated by your iron for linen.

This piece is unique, designed and handwoven by us on a manual wooden artisan loom, moved by our hands and feet, we weave it strand by strand, with the best quality natural fiber, the best to wear or use in contact with your skin and we take care of all the details so that you have a piece, timeless, durable and of high quality.

All its finishes are made by hand. It does not have knots in the warp (vertical threads) nor in the weft (horizontal threads). The weft splices are collected by hand in the selvedges with a needle, achieving a more complete and better quality finish.

We wash it by hand with natural soap, to verify the quality of the fiber, the dyeing if it has it and take its final measurement, something essential for us, all the pieces woven on the artisan loom shrink in their first wash because the fibers are repositioned (This is only done in the first wash, then they do not shrink any more). And then we iron it by hand with steam so that once it is finished, you can appreciate all its qualities.
