Zero Waste
Not wasting, not generating waste is another of our values as a firm and as craftsmen, reflected in our work philosophy, in our way of working, of being and being, which deserves special reflection.
Natural fibers take a long process and time to be converted into textile fibers with which to weave by hand on the loom. Whether they are of animal origin, such as wool, alpaca and all the others, or of plant origin, such as cotton, linen and all the others, and of course silk, they all have in common a careful and specific treatment and transformation process for each fiber, which we value and want to teach how to value, so as not to waste anything, from all this work behind it. From its sowing in the case of vegetable fibers, to the good care of the animals themselves, there is a whole process with different very differentiated phases, including selection, washing, carding, combing, spinning and dyeing very specific in the fibers of quality, to throw them away.
We do not waste anything, we give all the leftover fibers different uses, from fillings to new irregular and precious hand-spun yarns.
As a sustainable workshop, we are committed to sustainable development defined in the Brundtland report, as "development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations, to meet your own needs."
Our artisan weaving is a harmless activity that does not compromise the needs of future generations. We carry it out in a consistent manner, enhancing respect and biodiversity, without damaging the environment of the natural space in which we find ourselves, in the Natural Park of Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas. With spring water and solar panels for all the light supply, as a signature, we only use natural fibers, 100% organic, biodegradable, dyed where appropriate with unbeatable quality European dyes, respectful of nature.
