Fundesarte Crafts & Music Project

Very grateful and happy to have been chosen by Fundesarte to participate in this new project, the recording of a video where Music and Crafts come together. We have recorded together with the singer Pachi García Alis and we decided to translate his score to hand-knit a unique scarf in baby alpaca and silk. We have gone from the sequence of musical notes to a pedaling sequence with a totally different handcrafted fabric graphic than the one we are used to. From Fundesarte's instagram account.

"We present the first video clip of the Crafts&Music 2020 project.

Crafts&Music is an audiovisual project that highlights the connection between independent music and crafts. The project began in 2012, coinciding with the first edition of the European Days of Crafts in Spain.

In this particular year in which the digital environment has become very important, we have resumed the project under the name Crafts&Music 2020, which will consist of 3 music videos.

This first piece that was already presented in the II Edition of the @artesaniacat Craft Audiovisual Show is starring the artist, Pachi García Alis, and the textile artisan, Ana Santiago from @Ayftejedores. It presents the musical theme 'I didn't see you come', whose score is woven by Ana on her low smooth loom, resulting in a spectacular natural fiber scarf with baby alpaca and silk. "
